YANKEES WIN, PETTITTE SHINES & BASEBALL'S COMING

There are always 2 wins I like in Spring Training. The first game and the last. It doesn't matter who's playing on the team at that moment, the Yankees in my mind just need to win those 2 games so momentum sways the Yankees way. Corny... very corny... but true.

The Yankees won today in the last Spring Training game of 2012. We now wait 48 hours until the first real Yankee game is played... Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. CC Sabathia vs. James Shields. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
8-3 was the win today. While Ike Davis cranked out another homer for the Mets, his 2nd in 2 days, Freddy Garcia allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and he struck out 4. The Yankees however were just able to dominate. Francisco Cervelli tied the game in the 7th with a homer, then the Yanks just piled on. Even Hector Rabago drove in 2. I like when we pile on, hopefully will be the way it goes all year long. Highlights include Andy Pettitte pitching the 6th inning which is always fun. He just looks like he never left. Check out this video HERE.

Over all, a good day for the Yankees. Now comes the official Yankees roster. We'll post it here on BYB with reaction shortly. God Bless America... the season's about the start.
