ICHIRO JUST TIED BABE RUTH

This type of story needs to be placed everywhere.  Babe Ruth is the biggest player in American League history, and Ichiro Suzuki did something big.

According to MLB.com, "With a fifth-inning bloop single to left field for his second hit of the day, Suzuki tied Babe Ruth for 38th place on the all-time Major League hits list since 1900 with 2,873. Monday's hits were both singles off of Arizona starter Rubby De La Rosa .

However, the lefty-swinging 41-year-old said he wasn't thinking about the milestone."

Sure, tell me "Well the guys old and been around a long time, of course he'd reach 38th on the all-time hits list", or "So, getting homers was Babe's thing, not just getting hits." Fine, say what you will, but you kind of have to be good to get base hits for a long, long time and with that, I tip my cap to Ichiro, one of my favoirte players.

Well done.
