CHRIS YOUNG COULD BE BACK IN PINSTRIPES

Chris Young and the Yankees have talked about him coming back to the Bronx on the new deal.  That news comes from Dan Martin of the New York Post who writes:

"Chris Young could end up staying in The Bronx.

The outfielder, who signed with the Yankees in August after a disastrous stint with the Mets that led to his release, has talked with the Yankees about a new deal, sources confirmed."

I would welcome Young back.  He brought alot of energy with him when he showed up in the Bronx. You also have to assume his terrible stint with the Mets was just a fluke.  The dude's not that bad.

You also have to wonder what this would mean for my man, Ichiro.  I would take Ichiro over Young, but you also have to consider Ichiro probably wants more playing time in his attempt to get 3000 hits.  That being said, the Yankees would be foolish to NOT want that as one of their franchise achievements.  Ichiro is a dynamic ball player and future hall of famer. Plus, it brings in money...

At any rate, we wanted to keep you in the loop on this.

Enjoy your Saturday.
